If you are letting the life of your business overrule the business of living your life, then it is time to begin turning the tides. Finding ways to make your business work harder for you and your family is the reason we all started our businesses in the first place. If your business is obstructing your efforts to enjoy life with friends and family, this is a problem. We all know a lot of work goes into building a successful business, but if it is consuming all your time, effort and energy... is it worth it? They are so lovely! And despite its sensitivity, peonies can live longer than a year if they're well-taken care of. Just be aware of the small details that will help keep it alive, so that they will produce healthy blooms later on. There are some hybrid that can stand warm weather, but I prefer the traditional ones, because their flowers look healthier than the former.

Bethel Woodard
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14864807422792399769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4449645734341845460.post-48877726786976959192014-04-30T21:47:36.865-07:002014-04-30T21:47:36.865-07:00Good postGood postMayahttp://severaltips.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4449645734341845460.post-85466316313188822822014-04-03T13:48:56.675-07:002014-04-03T13:48:56.675-07:00I met the Bee at Stonecoast in 2002. My suggestion to you is that if you want to get into deep meditation: try doing a full body self-massage first, and then a full body stretching after that. It takes the noise out of the body, which enables your mind to become still. Sit on a rug that is half an inch thick and rest your back on a chest, or keep it straight without the support. Soft surfaces keep the balance center of the brain active and that leaches your mental energy, which is why the base, where you sit on, has to be a bit hard. I will post the link of my article that I am writing about this subject here soon :) - Martin Marsi - Author of the Wisdom Faculty book series.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09940792450492992157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4449645734341845460.post-38521056945684196152013-01-06T16:11:05.776-08:002013-01-06T16:11:05.776-08:00I also keep my back periodically resting on a ches...I also keep my back periodically resting on a chest.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09940792450492992157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4449645734341845460.post-65011267770579265932012-08-15T03:13:14.316-07:002012-08-15T03:13:14.316-07:00Thanks so much for writing about Halley here, Hert...Thanks so much for writing about Halley here, Hertap. I'm glad to know you still have all these things--ashes, collars, toys--but that you have the comfort that goes with the part that is "less solid and more lasting." I crave solidity perpetually, because it's so much part of the loss--the physicality of my pup, her furry there-ness. But I do find comfort in just talking to her and looking at photos and remembering. You're so kind to write--thank you again.Natalia Singerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09503578469055410701noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4449645734341845460.post-26834755152208840862012-08-13T17:14:20.177-07:002012-08-13T17:14:20.177-07:00Natalia, I'm always awed by the way you captur...Natalia, I'm always awed by the way you capture the emotional experience of loving a dog. When Barney was in his last days, I would look at him and try to capture the very essence of him so that I would have something to hold onto when he was no longer there. I had the ashes, the collars, the toys. Six years later, I still have them. But I don't need them so much now. Instead, I speak of him, sometimes dream of him, tell his new "brother" how Barney would have done this or that. It's an odd comfort, to be able to speak of him as if he is still a part of my life and to realize that indeed, he is. Grieve as long and as hard you need to. It is part of the alchemy of transforming love into something both less solid and more lasting.Janice Garyhttp://www.janicegary.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4449645734341845460.post-52752551518222487532012-08-12T08:13:36.844-07:002012-08-12T08:13:36.844-07:00Hi Sara. It rhymes with proximity. Proximate, that which is near. which rhymes with
sublimate: to purify, or divert energy to a more aesthetic nature.

but back to sublimity. When I looked it up at Merriam Webster, someone there gave a quote, which I will post here.

Of all that is good, sublimity is supreme. I thought she might want to comfort me, but she decided to go drink some water instead. There's solace in that, too, the way my little dog carries on with life as it is. When she had to have neck surgery last summer, a psychic told me Abbe would die. Thankfully, another friend said "that psychic is full of shit." Still, I spent that week in agony, and only started crying when the vet called me to say that Abbe had sailed through surgery just fine. The holding on, the letting go--our dogs give us ample opportunity for practice. Thank you for sharing it all with us.
